 Stations
History of Station 4

Station 4, located on Springdale Road, was built by the Ashland Fire Co. #2 and opened in October 1976. The station was constructed to handle increased call volume experienced by the Burnt Mill Road Fire Station in the many new neighborhoods along the Springdale Road and Kresson Road areas.

Very soon after its construction, this firehouse suffered from a fire itself. The fire started in the engine of one of the fire trucks stationed there and spread to the engine room. It was quickly contained, as you might expect, and repairs were minimal.

Today, this firehouse is staffed 24 hours a day by Cherry Hill Firefighters.
